Should I minor in Political Science or English?

Is it possible to get two teaching certificates with a major in Social Science and a minor in English?

    Most school districts have minimum collegiate hour requirements to certify you in a discipline. In my district you need 24 hours in the field or closely related field (astronomy, biology, and physics credits would count in a general science cert, for example). Check with your district or the one you are applying with. Get multiple copies of your transcripts and fight like hell for your certs if you deserve them. And join the union... Good luck.

Passing the Praxis test has nothing to do with your minor. Yes, you can receive as many degrees as you want- you can work on a double major or one major with a minor. It is up to you--I would suggest you get with your academic advisor ASAP so they can taylor your program of study to your desires. This way your advisor can assure you are working in the correct direction with your credit hours. Hope this helps you out-good luck!

In most states yes. What you will do is first get your teaching certification in the social science major. Then if you pass the PRAXIS-II in English you can also have that certification.
