What is the going rate to take piano lessons?

Answer:
I don't fully understand your question but.. If you're a beginner, then you can find a teacher or a studio that charges about $15-30 for 30 minutes. I know some professional concert pianists who could charge up to $300 for an hour lesson. During my first 3 years of piano I took piano at my local music lesson center near my house. As my pieces and studies became more technical and demanding, I switched to a more professional teacher. Even though he had PhD, he didn't charge much ($80/hour). If you are an advanced student, expect lessons to be $70+/hour if you want a decent teacher. I think piano is one of the most learned musical instruments.. if that's what you're asking.
