What would be a good objective in general for a resume?

What is a good objective to put on my resume for an education related job?

• I'm applying for an enrichment leader position at my local YWCA. I haven't had to submit a resume before and I'm having trouble with what to put as my objective to relate it to the position? I am a college student and I am majoring in elementary education. Also if you have any advice on what to include in my resume to make it better please add that. In advance, thank you!!

  Without seeing your resume, here's what I suggest. Don't put an objective; they're outdated and your objective should be to land the job you're applying for - which your potential employer already knows. The content of your resume should reflect your qualifications that relate to the job. For instance, as an aspiring Elementary School teacher you should have experience with young children in medium to large group settings. You should also have experience differentiating your instruction to meet the needs of various types of learners and creating new and innovative lesson plans. Just look at the job description and see what skills the employer is looking for and then tailor your resume to suit those needs.
