URGENT! Teacher wants me to redo assignment. Need your opinion/ advice!!!!? This is about an IN CLASS essay: URGENT! Teacher wants me to redo assignment. Need your opinion/ advice!!!!? URGENT! Teacher wants me to redo assignment. Need your opinion/ advice!!!!? On Tuesday, June 15, 2010, I was approached by my teacher who told me that there was an issue with the in-class essay I wrote. He told me that fragments of it were plagiarized. At that point, he proved that only one sentence was plagiarized, but at the most maybe a paragraph was. The problem I now face is that I have to rewrite an an essay on such short notice. That essay was written two months ago on April the 24, and he hands it back now telling me that I must rewrite it on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010. The problem is that I do not have the time to do so, and because this essay was written about a movie, I do remember any of it. In addition, I have exams to study for, as this is exam time, and the course work should have already been finished, by now we should have already earned our 70% course mark, and should focus only on the exams worth 30%. I had an exam on thursday the 17, the 18, the 21, and the 22, which leaves me a mere day to think about the essay and write the assignment the next day. Regardless, my teacher still wants me to write the essay on the 23rd of june. His argument is that he is curious as to what my thoughts are. My argument is that by now, from all prior assignments and essays, and tests, he should have sufficient evidence to accurately give me an overall mark, and in my opinion, me rewriting this essay would be pointless, and highly unreasonable at this point. I will talk to my teacher tomorrow, what should I tell him exactly, and how should I approach him. Please give me some advice on the exact words I could tell him, how should I start the conversation, please give me your opinion Thank you very much :)

Answer:
you shouldnt have cheated, do the work and redo it and learn your lesson this time. you should be grateful he is letting you redo it instead of just failing you.

Oh p'ti mistou
Your teacher is trying to teach you a lesson you'll never forget. Giving you zero time to get it done is going to push your limits in terms of work ethic and it's going to teach you that hard work gets things done, not cheating. Hope it works out for you.

this is something very complex and do not expect anyone here in yahoo, can do it for you. Just go to some website like fastcustomessays.com which i used for mine and find it helpful. If you have time and resource, just write it yourself else it is better do it like this :)
O.K. First of all, was the paper plagiarized? If it wasn't defend yourself and tell him all of the work is completely original. Try to find some sort of proof, if you can't try and stand up to him. If the paper is plagiarized and you end up having to redo it just ask for the old paper back and use it to create a new one. Touch on all the same points just use different words. Make sure you get a good nights sleep before you talk to him and take deep breaths. If you are anything like me you will be stressed out BIG TIME. Just start off reminding him about why you are there and start off slow. Don't be too quick to judge. He has the ultimate control over your grade, ask him to tell you what the problem with your test was EXACTLY so that you have to redo it. If you didn't plagiarize it calmly say so and tell him why you think so. If you did or wan't to re-do it for whatever reason just ask if you can use the paper to rewrite it. If everything goes o.k. thank him for his time and effort in trying to raise your grade (some teachers would of automatically given you a 0) and give him a firm handshake if you want. Obviously this is much easier said than done. So don't take notes and sound like you plagiarized the conversation XD. Remember take a big deep breath before you go in and be as calm and polite as possible throughout the conversation. GOOD LUCK!
