Is it hard becoming a Bio teacher?

Becoming a Bio Teacher?

  • Do i go to college for education (classes to become teachers), then take science courses (bio/chem) to be a teacher? I love biology, mainly the cells, organims, environment stuff. and teachign is a dream of mine. I would love to go to Penn State University and to play men's vball there. any help/info would be great. (what kind of classes to students take to be teachers? (names of the classes and what you do) thanks MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

    You need to take some time and really explore the Penn State website. Everything is there for you but you really have to dig inside.. You want to look for Secondary Education, Biological Science (SECAB). On the Penn State home page, click on academic programs and then undergraduate programs. That will take you to Undergraduate Admissions. On that page, you want Academic Information and then Majors and Requirements. That slides open so you can highlight majors, descriptions and requirements. From there, you can click on Read About Penn State's Majors. The in the alphabetical section, go for Education. Scroll down to Secondary Education, Biological Science (SECAB). Follow through and you can find out general info but no specifics. So I kept looking. The second link is from the Education College. Check that. It says that you can download sample checklists for each major, including yours. Good luck.
