When to use/how do you make MLA footnote citations?
-
The MLA website is so hard to understand! If I have a book called Dogs (just for example!) and it's by Bob Johnson, written in 1999, and the publishing company was Best Books Ever, how would my footnote look? The footnotes are shorter than the citations in bibliographies so I'm not sure what I have to include. Also, when do you use footnotes versus in-text MLA citations with parentheses?! Help!
