The UGC rules reagarding eliglibility as given on Ugc WEBISTEhttp://www.ugc.ac.in/policy/revised_fina… do not tell anything about upper age limit for Assistant Professor or higher Posts. can anyone please tell me what is upper age limit for applying for Assistant Professor in (1) colleges and (2) universities for a general category NET qualified candidate without earlier teaching experience ?

Answer:
I think it should be under 35 years for general candidates & under 40 years for SC & ST candidates.
