How hard is A-level chemistry?

What Alevel subjects shall I choose?

  • Im in year 11 and will be doing my Alevels next year. I want to be a neurosurgeon(!) I have decided to take biology, chemistry and maths. I had planned on continuing spanish at Alevel but today I had my sixth form interview and my teacher advised me to take Psychology instead of spanish. He said that obviously medicine is very competitive and I need to do science based subjects. So instead of spanish I should take pyschology. Should I take spanish or physchology? Thanks :)

  • Answer:

i would actually take spanish. it shows that you have a variety of skills and since modern languages are becoming less and less popular, universities really like to see students take them to a-level. spanish will also be a bit of a break in your timetable. i take really similar subjects and i wish i had something a bit different when school gets tedious.
