How to Become a Early Childhood education teacher?

• i always wanted to teach children, ever since i was little. I wanted to know whats the education requirements to come a early childhood education teacher, is it still jobs and is it in demand, my grandmother told me to come a nurse because they are always in demand i like nursing to but i think it would be kind of hard for me. My grandmother also told me that being a nurse (RN) thats where the money is can you guys give me some advice whats the pay like in Teaching and when you get the summers off how do u still get income coming in to pay your bills? thanks in advance

  There are Associates degrees (2 years) for early childhood education and there are also Bachelors degrees (4 years). Also there are Masters degrees (2 years after Bachelors). (I'm sure there are Phd programs too..which is usually an additional 2 years after the Masters.) It all depends on how far you want to go. I would think that most people stop at the Bachelors level and make good money. It all depends on what state you are in. You could look up salary for teachers in your state on Indeed.com, it should give you a good ballpark figure. 30-50 thousand a year. (less or more). Also, with nursing, you can actually become an RN with just an Associates. There's also the Bachelors RN. They both do the same thing, accept the nurse with the Bachelors can end up managing (being the head nurse in the department). Look up clinical documentation improvement specialist. This job is becoming more and more needed by hospitals and they usually want either an RN or a RHIA (registered health information administrator-doesn't hurt to look into this either, that's what I am). Your grandmother is right when she says that RN is where the money is. They will make 40-60 thousand a year. (or more)
