Is there a difference between Teacher's Assistant and Unique Assistant?
-
Sometimes I see openings for a Teacher's Assistant/Aide and others for a Unique Assistant/Aide. The job descriptions don't appear to be different but I am curious as to why there are two different titles for the same job description. Is there a difference between Teacher's Assistant and a Unique Assistant in a school?
-
Answer:
I have not heard the term unique assistant used. However, there are teacher's assistants, who help the teacher in the classroom, and one-on-one assistants, who assist one particular student, usually a special education student. I think unique assistant must be another name for a one-on-one assistant.
