There definitely are average requirements to get into almost every professional school or graduate program anywhere. For teacher's college there are almost always essays and experience components as well. Some information here is very misleading to say the very least. Such as "Go to the Ontario College of Teachers website, it will give you all your answers!" This is misleading in several ways. It does not provide you with real life information, only public relations ..that is it. It does not point out to you that if you do not have family members in education who are powerful such as superintendents or directors.... kiss any job in teaching good bye in Canada. Do you mind working in China and South Korea without any chance of working back home in Ontario.... they don't tell you that.
