Letters of recommendation sample?

Recommendation letters for future teachers?

  • Hello, I have a question, so please help me! I need recommendation letters so that I can apply for teaching jobs. I graduated with a Masters degree in school counseling 3 years ago, and I received 4 recommendation letters during that time. Currently, 2 of those professors retired. I never found a counseling job so I don’t have and experience after that program. A year later I entered into a Special education program, and I recently finished my second master’s degree and became certified as a teacher. I’m having a hard time receiving letters of recommendation, despite my good grades. I did not personally know my professors in this program. I also lack job experience so I don’t know who else to ask. What should I do? Can I use the older letters of recommendation for counseling and still apply for teaching jobs? Can I use personal reference letters? Please give me some advice. Professors at my school are very busy and impersonal. Is it okay to ask for letters in an email?

  • Answer:

Yes it is ok for the email asking. Sometimes preferred Who did you student teach with? That is a HUGE one. \ Use counseling ones as needed.
