What makes a teacher a good teacher?

  • im just wondering what are everybody else's veiws are ,because i want to become a teacher when im older lol. i think the teacher has to be able to relate to the students in some way, talk to them not about just school work and when they give me visuals For example my science teacher used air freshner to teach us about diffusion . Also i like when my teachers knows how to make learning fun and intresting. so what is everybody elses views of what makes a teacher a good teacher?

  • Answer:

I totally agree with the relating to students, My teacher & I have a different relshionship when it comes to other students we just get along well and talk about everything, I feel that I can be open with her and tell her just about anything. As far as teaching goes she tries to make things fun for us, she helps us out when it comes to tests, she's very organized and she's got a sense of humour, she has never gotten mad, she loves kids.

what makes a good teacher is: not picking favorites, or at least not showing it being fair to everyone being understanding that different students have different expectations (my AP foreign language teacher hates me for being a perfectionist :[ ) communication with your students is key. making class fun take into consideration that students have other classes, give homework but not like 5 hours worth each day.

just me(:
