What is going on with my Flickr/Yahoo?

What's my teacher going to do?

• so basically, my friend went to one of the teachers we trust and told him about what's going on in my life and how it's affecting me negatively like my grades going down, skipping class, not eating from stress. I'm not in any danger (i eat enough but not a lot, my friend's worried it might progress), it's just i have a lot going on at home and he said since im 16, he does not have to tell my parents or anyone that i am talking to him as long as I am not in danger. Is this true? He told my friend if i don't feel comfortable coming to him myself, my friend who talked to him about me can come with me. i just don't want my teacher to tell my parents what i told him about anything such as our money problems and my dad now sober, and my parents going through a lot of issues and getting me involved and my brothers. He told my friend not to tell me but she did, to keep informing him about what's going on in my life to make sure i'm ok, without me knowing of course. He also told my friend if i don't go to him because I’m not comfortable he can give advice to my friend to give to me the hardest part on me and my family is my dad struggling to stay sober. That’s the biggest factor in our debt, arguing and stress. He knows about everything but he doesn’t know my dad is a recovering alcoholic, and he told my friend that he will keep it between us. If he said that, will he? What if I tell him about my dad? If i tell him how my dad is a recovering alcoholic, will he keep that a secret as long as he is still sober? He also told her about some anorexia thing my friend doesn't remember much of what he said unless she's lying, and he said he will try to help me but if im not getting better he needs to tell someone what is he going to try to do to help me eat? im eating but my friends convinced im not I’m 16 btw

  It really depends on the teacher, some teachers might choose to tell one of their superiors or a guidance counselor... but since the teacher said thay he would not tell anyone as long as you are not in danger, than he probably won't. Even if he was telling someone else, nothing would happen to you unless they thought you were putting yourself in danger. Your friend is trying to help you by getting advice from a trusted adult, but if you don't feel comfortable her telling others about your problems then ask her to keep things between the two of you. You could also go up to the teacher and let him know that you are ok and just dealing with a lot of stress. Reassure him that you are not going to do anything to hurt yourself and you are just venting your emotions out to others. I think you should also talk to the guidance counselor if you wanted to talk to someone.... you can ask for confidentiality and they won't tell your parents unless they think you will hurt yourself/others. Good luck, i came from a horrible home life and you jsut have to get through it. You are strong and use all that negativity at home as motivation to get good grades and have a great social life with people you trust.
