What is the different between a good and teacher?

What are some good colleges with really good teacher programs in NYS????

• i dont want any schools in upstate ny, like im loooking towards schools in long island, or in the city pref. queens not manhattan but thats fine too i suppose. im just looking for a rough idea of good teacher programs i wanna be an elementary school teacher.. also, does anyone know of any good summer porgrams at a college i could consider doing this summer or something? btw im only a sophomore i just wanna get a headstart, thanks in advance! :)

  Unless you have a program that links a community college to your HS, they wont let you do college courses without proof of HS graduation. I tried to get into courses that started 1 day before my HS graduation and was denied because I wasnt officially out of HS yet. Remember too- any course you take will run you between 600-1,200 dollars. The best way to "beat the system" is to see if your school guidance counselor has any ties.
