How can I write an interview essay?

I am going for a Uni interview 2m and they have asked for me to write an essay about teaching?

• The question reads: Thinking back to the teaching you have experienced, can you identify what one teacher did which made their teaching particularly effective? Now i have to be honist i dont know what they are looking for. If they mean method i seriously cant remember one that perticularly made an impact on my learning experiance. Infact one of my many reasons for wanting to teach is that in Design and Technology (the subjuect i intend to teach) my teachers were sub standard, but i cant say that!?! can anyone give me any ideas or even inspiring thoughts that may jog my memory and help me identify something which is suitable to their requirments.   To start with lie. Invent Mr Smith the inspirational teacher. Comment on - good subject knowledge he displayed, positive relationship that he enjoyed with students of all abilities, a range of activities that he employed both in individual lessons and over the course of a terms work. Comment on how each lesson had a clear objective so each student know what they meant to be learning. Explain how he was approachable with problems, willing to spend time talking over problems and was flexible to change things when they were not working. Hope this helps.
