How should I make my study timetable?

Making a study timetable?

  • So i have a timetable all written out but I don't know how often I should study for each subject. The subjects I have worth studying for are French,History,English,Maths,Irish,Geogr… Ec and Science. I study two hours every day. How much time for each subject and when?Maths and Irish are the major ones. French is also quite major but English is a core subject. Geography should be the one I study for the least. Help? Ps I'm in Second year

  • Answer:

Maybe aim to do two hours per subject per week, and if you don't need to study Geography much then do one hour of that. You can split it up however you want, i.e. you could do half an hour on each of four subjects per night, or one hour each on two subjects, etc. More important than how much time you spend on each is what you actually learn. You could spend four hours a night not really concentrating and get nothing learned or you could do one hour where you really focus, leave your phone etc in another room and have no distractions and just try to get your head around what you're learning. The hour spent learning will be much more useful than the four hours spent bored.
