Is it hard becoming a Bio teacher?

Should I talk to my teacher about this?

  • My bio teacher took major points off my lab because one of the answers was the same as someone else's. I was angered and mortified by this, because I am NOT a cheater. The girl had actually copied off MY lab!! She said she didn't understand the ?s, so I let her read answers so she could get the gist of it and come up with her own, after she assured me that she wouldn't copy it. Apparently she did, and she didn't even get points taken off. Also, the teacher knows that I have trouble with the material that the ?s were about, so I guess she just assumed that I was the copier. But what I really did was research and hard work so I could turn in a good lab. I am new at my school, along with all the other freshmen, and I'm kind of a loser. This girl is one of the only people who is even kind of friendly toward me, and I don't think she had any mean intentions or was taking advantage of me. If I tell the teacher and rat her out, I will lose a friend, and if I don't, I'll get a bad grade. And keep in mind that my bio teacher is unreasonable and she might not believe me or get me in trouble. Should I tell or not? Should I talk to the girl who copied off me? PLEASE HELP ME WHAT SHOULD I DO!? Teacher's opinions would be great, so I can get it from perspective. and btw i'm NEVER letting her read my hw again

  • Answer:

Well I'm not a teacher yet, but I am majoring in education. If I was the teacher, I would have taken both of you aside and asked what happened....It was wrong for this teacher to make an assumption and only count points off your paper.....I would go to her after class and explain what happened...If she doesn't believe you then I would take this matter to the Principal....You might have to involve your parents as well. This isn't fair to you and something should be done about it. By the way, if this girl purposely copied your answers, then she's not really a friend. Good luck!

You should talk to the girl first and tell her what happened. If she's reasonable, she will not let you take the fall for her mistake. Both of you can talk to the teacher and get something worked out. If she refuses to help you then you should just talk to the teacher alone (and tell the teacher the truth).

Tika

Tell the teacher the truth tell,Then tell the girl your sorry and you hope you and her can still be friends and that you just told because that wasn't right.

Kayle7

Just go to your teacher and tell her that you did not cheat, you don't have to use names but privately just tell her that you didn't cheat.

PrettyReckless

You should try and talk to the teacher and reason with her. If that doesn't work tell you mother to come and talk to the teacher, that way she may take you more seriously.
