Can you give me reasons why students should go on field trips for example: "They learn stuff" "They have fun". So can you give me reasons why students should be able to go on school trips. Thanks Very Much Guys! - Bill K.

There might be something that a teacher is giving a lesson about but can demonstrate it so you have to go to a special building or you are learning about acting. you can learn better when you go on a field trip

"Why should students go on field trips"? Student should go on field trips because: it allows students to practice the elements of their “social curricula”; it provides an educational experience which some students may never have the opportunity to experience; it gets students out of the grind of the classroom and the daily routine of school; it furthers one’s experiences; it opens new windows of understanding; and, it provides the chance to realize there are things of interest beyond the doors of the school and homes.

Research has shown that children learn better when the method of education is changed every once in awhile. It is suggested that you teach things in several different ways for everyone to remember. It's also suggested that students need breaks (even getting up to stretch once or twice during a long lecture). This is because people have different learning types. Some learn better from listening and taking notes, some learn better from hands-on or experience. A change in venue is enough of a change to help students retain information better (as long as the field trip pertains to something they're learning about).

Some things, for example great art or an archeologic dig or a fantastic library, can't be learned in a classroom. They have to be experienced. In addition, getting out of the classroom adds excitement to the lesson and makes the students more receptive to learning. It's also a good way to refocus their attention after a period of monotony.

Students learn better when they not in the classroom and out learning in a field and testing stuff out, i think some people are just pain bored in the classroom with the desk and the whole setting of the classroom but if your out on a trip with people talking about the trip so sometimes different settings mean different types of learning
