Where can I borrow or buy school (4th to 10th grade) textbooks?

I don't know anyone I can borrow from, and have not been able to locate them in the catalog of my local library. I would prefer to borrow, but if I had to buy, where are they available and how much on average do they cost? I'm thinking of working as a tutor, and the textbooks will be a great help with lesson-preparation.

I would suggest to find a local "home-school" association. I know a few parents that home-school their children and they often sell their old text books.
