Does anyone have a good science experiment for kindergartners based on recycling?
-
We are doing a unit on wood and paper, and we recycle mixed paper in the room... Thanks!

Answer:
You can make blocks from water and paper. Once they dry they can be used for construction or even for fuel for fireplace/woodstove. You need a form with a sliding panel to squeeze and press the water out, then you let them dry. I think LL Bean had a log maker a few years back, same principle. Cellulose insulation is made from 100% recycled newspaper and is the premier insulation in existing homes. Foam is generally used in new construction, not existing homes.
