Help!!!!! good high schools in England?

Which Infant schools in England notice Dyslexia and give the required help?

  • Answer:

All schools in England & Wales are required in law to have a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), every school must have a strategy for dealing with Special Educational Needs (SEN). If you believe your child is dyslexic or you would like to have your child assessed then you should approach the SENCO in your child's school. They should know what the borough or county council policy regarding dyslexia is & they should be able to access services such as the Educational Psychology Service to have your child assessed. You could also look at your local council's website to see if they have posted their policy for Dyslexia on their website.

Most schools are fairly progressive and Teachers are a lot more in tune with children who are challenged in some way. Be open with the school and see what they are able to offer that will help support your child's needs. I would suspect that if they are able to do little they will certainly know of a school who can help in your area.
