How do you become a lactation consultant??

I am breastfeeding for the second time and would love to educate others on how to do so.

I suggest joining La Leche League. I'm sure they'll be able to use your help there. Any lactation consultant I've ever encountered was a nurse in the maternity ward, so I don't know anything else you can do.

Contact LaLecheLeague online - also call the local hospitals for information. Classes are offered around the world. Good luck and God bless!

We have a "childbirth" organization where I live that does such things. That's where you should start looking.

If there's a women's center at your hospital, talk to someone there about sharing your knowledge. La Leche also has a great site with tons of info.
