What kind of schooling do I need for a pediatric nurse?

What kind of schooling do you need to be a nurse in the maternity ward?

  • Answer:

You can work as a CNA and work on a maternity ward. Certified Nursing Assistant is the lowest form of nursing. You could work on a per diem schedule at a hospital and request maternity ward. That way they can train you and get your experience working in OB/GYN department. Not sure if you know this, but sometimes when there are limited hospital beds in a hospital, they place the patients on different floors. You could have a male on the maternity floor!

You need at least LVN or LPN to be a nurse. Though a CNA (certified nurse assistant) can work at maternity ward, but CNA isn't a nurse.
