Does anyone know where to buy low-cost Irlen overlays in Canada?

• I read recently about Irlen lenses and think maybe I have many of the symptoms that mean I could be helped by trying them. So I was thinking I'd like to try out some coloured overlay sheets, just to see if there is much difference. I don't know if this will be very helpful or not, though, so I don't want to invest too much in this trial, though. Does anyone know where you can buy Irlen overlays in Canada, that won't cost too much? In the US, one can buy some cheaply on Amazon.com, but they don't ship to Canada, and Amazon.ca just has books on the topic. I haven't had much success looking at shops online (e.g. Staples and Office depot) either.

  Try Canada's Irlens centre, they should be able to send you them, otherwise try Irlens in the US. The overlays work by filtering only certain wave lengths of light, improving the ability to read, hold attention, reduce light sensitivity, headaches, fatigue, nausea etc. So its important that you have a proper assessment, to see if you have Irlens and what colour lens of overlay best suited to you. My daughter and I both have dyslexia but we also have Irlens syndrome too, my daughter has the tinted lenses, and I rely on the coloured overlays. My daughter first pair of glasses were a pink lens, as an adult she now has a light blue lens. I use either a blue or green tinted overlay.
