What are the needs for domestic tourits in the uk?

Is there anyone who works in the UK in a special needs school who i can talk to?

• I so desperately want to work with special needs children/young people. my nearest special needs school is a 15 min train journey away & i would love to talk to someone in the UK who works in a school or has worked in a school for special needs. if there is anyone here is my email: [email protected]

  emmie, sorry,am a service user not a staff in a special school,but want to add-contact local organisations or local branches of organisations that deal with learning disability,such as NAS,mencap etc. there may actually be some special schools nearby are not aware of,we have a small special school based here [a residential centre for children and adults on the severe or profound spectrums of autism],but no one beyond the service users and families of service users know of it,as its not advertised or sign posted as such. there are quite a few other special day schools am aware of that are in similar community/residential surroundings,NAS is definitely one of them. maybe if named the town are in [doesnt have to go closer than that] people may have ideas,though can understand if did not want to reveal that on here. if are unable to get access to working in a special school at this time,what about looking into becoming a buddy/befriender for a child with additional needs instead? am aware of the NAS [national autistic society] running a befriender service for children and adults with ASDs,that coud also be something to look into.
