Are all people with Aspergers the same?

My boyfriend has aspergers, calling all people with aspergers?

  • My boyfriend of a year has aspergers, I have known him from school, and we were very close for about 2 years before we started dating. In those two years he had mentioned having aspergers, but just said people with it don't talk to anyone and have no friends. (he was the class joker, everyone loved him, has friends ect) he said, that's not me, I agreed, and we left it at that. Maybe he was ashamed? Anyway, as we started a relationship I became increasingly interested in it, I wanted to find out more about it, so I looked it up again, and it seems he has a mild form of it. He used to have things he "obsessed" over, he likes routines, gets uptight when things change, and some things you say, he will take literally. Though he loves giving and receiving affection, and has no problem expressing how he feels for me. He does seem to stay in an awful lot though, but has told me he does want to go out more.( we are going to go out more) I have also read that people with aspergers commonly have "problems" with social skills, small talk ect. He is always making small talk with my mum, seems happy to talk to her. I have started to notice though, that he does say inappropriate sexual things, in a convo, but I'm not sure whether that is just because of his age. (He's 17) I am finding it hard to tell what is his aspergers, and whats him. Examples, when we eat we run out of things to say, and he says he feels awkward, but I feel that way too. He gets angry very easily, has a shouting tantrum, also if we go into a shop, to buy some, lets say, chocolate, he will stand there for a bit, just looking at them. He gets upset over minor things. I need to know what is his aspergers and what isnt, so I know when to let things go, he blames his aspergers on everything I don't like to call aspergers a"condition" because to me, Danny is just Danny
