How can i become a learning disability nurse?

Can a person with a learning disability become a doctor or an engineer?

  • I think Im a slow learner and a slow thinker but I want to someday become a doctor or engineer, is it possible for me to become one even though im slow?

  • Answer:

There is a book about how anything is possible if somebody never gives up. I wish I knew the name. There are incredible examples in that book that would blow your mind. You're likely to fail more than others, but eventually you will succeed if you don't give up. I'm part of a mystical group called the Rosicrucians. Our motto is TRY for that very reason. It's a major part of soul development. If you're open to what I'm saying, then don't think of your learning disability as a disadvantage. Think of it as a test for spiritual advancement. I've had problems with learning slowly as well, so I can say from experience that it can also give you compassion for others that struggle and broaden your perspective in ways that those that haven't struggled in such ways don't understand.

Believe. All things are possible with God. Temple Grandin has a Ph.D. She is an author of many books, she speaks around the world, and more. She is autistic. Check www.templegradin.com Stay positive and don't let anything negative get you down. God bless you.

As long as you know what it takes and got what it takes. I wouldn't recommend it, though. A doctor takes years and years of college and constant hard work. Not to discourage you in any way, but maybe you should seek something else. You could maybe be a nurse or an assistant nurse. It's a lot less work, and also offers good pay and good benefits. As for engineer, maybe. It can also be hectic work. I don't know as much about that field. But I still recommend nurse for you. My sister is one and she loves her job.

Absolutely, I say this for a certain because I have a learning disability; yet, I managed to earn dual degrees in Computer and Electrical Engineering. I'm even strongly considering about going back and earning my Master's Degree in Engineering just so I could prove to everyone that people with disabilities (learning or otherwise) can do more in life than scrub some sh*tty, nasty *ss toilet for a living.

Whatever

There is no such thing as a learning disability. Anyone can learn anything at anytime of their life. So there you have it, you can become anything you would like, just do it! Have fun learning, it's good for you.
