Formula to get initials from a name with underscores in between each initial in all caps in excel 2007?

For example John Bon Jovi Jr. the format I wanted is J_B_J_J. The name can be in four parts to six parts. The formula should be able to generate the first letters from the name. One more need is a formula to get last letters from a name with an underscore in the front in all caps. For example John Bon Jovi Jr, then it should appear as _NNIR.

To my knowledge it is not possible with Excel Microsoft Access has that facility to use format and in put masks.
