Do people with Autism act noticeably different?

What do people with autism act like?

  • There is this kid that's in a lot of my classes that people says has autism. If you try to talk to him he just kind've ignores you or says something completely random. He doesn't have down syndrome. He also raises his hand in class to answer a question and ends up saying something random. What do you think he has?

I guess it depends on how random the things he says are. If none of it makes sense at all, Idk. If the topic is random I guess he might not realize you're supposed to ask a question about what the class is about when you raise your hand. Or he might be thinking something and only say part of it if he expects other people to know what he's thinking, or can't explain it. If he doesn't look at you it might be because he has trouble remembering or doesn't like eye contact at all. If he says something random to you if you try to talk to him he might just not know what to say, so he just says something. If he also doesn't like certain noises or does things like pacing, rocking back and forth or flapping his hands, I think he probably does have autism. It doesn't really matter tho, they can be really interesting people and totally worth understanding all that stuff for. Even if he doesn't have it, he's just different and that's ok.

I think he's autistic. I have this autistic guy in my class. Does the one your talking about like to draw or anything? The one in our class does and that's how he really expresses himself besides words.

They have very poor social relationships with other people. Very poor eye contact. Repetitive use of words. Delayed in spoken language.
