  • Answer:

Simple - Practise, Practise & more Practise with the help of someone who uses English as their native language, and isn't afraid to tell you when you've screwed-up. If you've just been learning in your own country, and you can afford it.... try going on a course in a country where it's spoken natively, such as here: http://www.funenglish.co.uk/ Try reading out loud from a book written in English, but stick to simple childrens stuff, such as "BEANO" comics or THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE (hey, they're damn good reads you know... and are collectible items that may become worth something one day) rather than diving straight into something like "War & Peace" or "Pride & Prejudice".... or maybe something more advanced, like Jeremy Clarkson's articles in the motoring section of the Sunday Times - available on their website http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/ If you've got a decent internet connection and have RealPlayer installed, there are full length episodes of THE SKY AT NIGHT astromomy show on the BBC's website (presented by Sir Patrick Moore for nearly as long as there's been television in the UK), which may help as he speaks slowly & clearly http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/space/spaceguide/skyatnight/

You need to practice with someone who speaks English, you also could hear the radio. Listen to FM stations (the sound is more clear) and listen to the news reports or a program where they speak slower.

Read baby! That's the best and the only way to improve your language, speaking or writing skills as well as your vocabulary. Check out books that are easy to read, if not books, magazines, anything that interests you. If you don't know the meaning of a word, make it a point to look it up the dictionary. Once you have that command over the English language, you should have no problems whether its speaking in English or writing. All the best!

Well, speaking English is not a difficult thing. Just try to think in English and it will prove to be a magic. As far as techniques are concerned. MIRROR PRACTICE : Stand in front of mirror and speak looking i your eyes. Speak anything. Speak about urself, ur friend, a news or anything. It will make u confident and ur shyness will go away. EXTEMPORE : Ask a friend to give you a topic any topic. It can be easy eg. education, literacy, etc. Then and there itself deliver a speech on the topicwithout preparing. This will solve out difficulty in not getting word at the time and improve in your self confidence. AT HOME : Mix English with your regional language. Mean dont speak (at home, locality) regional language. Instead Mix words of english in ur routine language. It will ease you to speak English. VOCUBULARY : Read an English newspaper daily. In beginning you will face some difficulty. Note down the words somewhere and remember them. After a few days you will find that the commonly used words are few in number and it will be easy for you to express urself in English. Try these steps. If you still feel some difficulty then dont be shy to contact me up. Please drop a line to me about the matter and Technique I have provided to you.

Well I hope this will help. In around 7 years back, I was just like you; having struggle with english. I couldn't speak, nor can I understand this language. Moreover, I found that Australian has a rather funny ascent. Some of the words I new sound slightly different. I spent around two years to learn english, and I have reached to academic level. What I did to improve my spoken english was that I found some fiction that I may like to read (In my case I pick up Harry Potter series). I don't just read it but bought the audio books, and I play the tape as I read. It really helped me to speak properly. In most time I study not only the meanings of words, but also learn the styles; the way of other people speaks. Of cause I did try to speak more in daily bases, and that is important to use what you have learned. It took me two years to get to this stage, still I make some little mistakes, but that is fine. I hope that this will help you. Good Luck

Practice makes perfect. Don't be shy!!! The more you use the English language the more natural it will come. Don't be afraid if you say something wrong. If you have another language you are use to and people are seeing that you are trying the English language they will try to help you out. Don't get down on yourself. Practice makes perfect.
