What are the pros and cons of becoming an accountant?

I'm thinking about becoming a Special Education Major. Please tell me the Pros/Cons along with other info?

  • I'm thinking about becoming a Special Education Major. (I want to teach Mild-Moderate Special Needs in Elementary school.) I was wanting to know a few things about it from the people who do it or know people who do it! A few questions: What's some pros to being a special education teacher? What's some cons to being a special education teacher? What's the average salary when you leave college? (Not what's the salary in 5 years with a few raises, I want to know when I get out of college around how much I will be making.) How easy is it to actually get a job? Is it normally more than one teacher in the room? What's the normal work load? What do you normally do in the class? (For example teach basic skill like doing laundry and shopping or normal subjects like math, sciences and such?) Is there any other careers you can go into with your degree? (For example Social Worker or something? If so how much extra schooling would you need without going over another year.) Any other information would be great and you don't have to answer all of those questions, I know there is a lot! Yes, I have looked this information up online but I want to hear from people who actually work in this career. I don't want to know the statistics on it, I want to know the everyday facts!!!
