How come some people can sing and others cannot?

How come even autistic people post questions on yahoo answers and communicate with others?

  • Okay I think autistic are those who are self absorbed and don't communicate with anyone and keeps on doing repititive actions and just sit at one place with no expressions on their face and pays no attention to anyone and is lost in their own world. I don't even know if they can read and write. If someone try to talk to them or interrupt them they become violent or uncontrollable. This is what I think about autistic people and I have seen in TV serial about autistic girl. But here on y/a, I can see some people are posting question and answer and they say I am autistic, and they even talk to other people here, ask question and advice others by answering. Are they trolls or a real autistic can really communicate with others. Do u think autistic people use other media tools like facebook or anything.

Well, that pretty much explains everything, Your mental image of autism is way off, and clichéd. "Actually I don't know about this disease " Correct. By strict technical definition it's not even a disease. We vary. If you want to grab hold of one thing about people with autism, it's that we vary.

There are many different levels of being autistic. You can be autistic and still have a pretty normal life. I suggest that you go and see what wikipedia have to say about autism to get a deeper knowledge about it. And yes, they do use other media tools.

Firstly autistic is not what you just described. Go look it up. Dong judge them by their actions. Anyway, they need advice. Not a lot of people take them seriously in the real world.

This is really horrible...autistic children simply have a lesser form a retardation or around the same...what you just said was extremely judgemental. My brother is autistic and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. And juding by all the things you just said he's a hell lot smarter then you. He graduated high school with an advanced diploma. and yes. He uses Facebook.

I don't mean to seem harsh, but reading your question makes you seem a little dim in some ways with your lack of understanding. Those Autistic people on here are just like everyone else. Typing things on here is a different kind of communicating which I suppose is what they prefer. Thier intelligence and typing/computer skills aren't affected. I know some people with Autism that have Facebook, I even know some people with autism are actually popular in the real world. I hope this doesent confuse you.
