Where can I take a good, free learning style test online?

What test should my 21yr brother take to see if he has a learning or concentration problem?

  • My brother has struggled all his life with concentrating in class and learning. He dropped out of high school but got his GED. He started college last year and it has been a real struggle for him mainly in math classes (well more like algebra and stuff) 'cause he doesn't really get it but I think that a good tutor would do. But he also has problems in other classes, like he tells me he doesn't know whats wrong with him because professors are explaining things and he just gets out of focus and at the end he doesn't get anything of what they where saying. Also I have watched him study for his last 2 exam, like he takes whole weekends without going out or nothing, he just studies. and the end result is that he gets C's in his exams. I've tried helping him but I think he feels uncomfortable since he can't get things easily. I am worried because I don't want him to give up, he already feels like a failure and he has gone through a lot in his life, I just want him to have this to be proud of. So yeah, what type of test does he need to take to see if he has a learning disability or concentration problems? and where would he have to go to take them? thanks 4 your help. *and please no out of place comments, if I want senseless answers I would ask for them...

  • Answer:

If he is still in college, have him contact student learning services and also visit the counseling center. Attention and concentration problems can be indicative of ADHD, learning problems, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression, poor sleep, and a number of problems. Starting with those two places can help him to get a start and take advantage of services that are free to students. Good luck!
