Special education degrees from australia or new zealand?

  • hi..i am a 22 yr old female from the Maldives ,a teacher working with special needs children..in Maldives we do not have any training facilities or what so ever...i have 3+ yrs experience in Sp Ed and 3 yrs experience in early childhood teaching.. also done a 1yr diploma in pre-school and sub primary education from Srilanka..im looking for a bachelors degree program from Australia or new Zealand..or if anybody knows a short program that will qualify me to join first yr or 2nd yr of a Sp Ed degree in a certain uni....pls guide me..

    There's a double degree course in Disablity/education at RMIT in Victoria (Australia) given that you already have some qualifications you may be able to go for RPL (recognition of prior learning) The disability degree covers disability in detail which makes you understand it more than an ordinary edcuation degree would. If you can't get in to this second year based on your previous education and/or experience you can do Certificate IV or Diploma of disability. (Cert IV takes a year) You may need to wait until the beginning of the next year to enrol.
