How can i get a high school scholarship?

Can i get a cheer-leading scholarship for just cheering in high school for 2 years?

  • Hi, I'm a senior in high school and my GPA is average but it's not the greatest. I have cheered for 2 years and I am hoping to get a scholarship for just cheering to prove to my parents that cheer leading wasn't a waste of time. I am not the best cheerleader, I can't do any flips but i have a lot of spirit and put a lot of dedication to cheer leading. Are there any scholarships for just cheering in high school? I am pretty sure, I won't cheer for universities because I am not that good. Thanks :) Also I heard that you can get scholarships for just having blue eyes or being left handed? Is that true? If we can get scholarships for that, then I can possibly get one for just being a cheerleader. Also, throughout my school life, I have worked for two years, went to school, and was a cheerleader.

Generally speaking.... to get a cheerleading scholarship, you would have to be very good at cheering & commit to cheering while at college.... normally colleges look to who is winning cheer competitions and recommendations from cheer coaches when considering who to offer/award cheerleading scholarships to... and in most case that includes higher than average gpa & higher than average class standing Similar to football scholarships or band scholarships.... you must be well above average student & have a skill the school needs & use that skill to benefit the school... in order to be offered scholarship In your case.... consider it from the schools perspective.... what can she offer us that is so incredible that we really, REALLY want her here.... and we are willing to choose her over all our other candidates
