Easy to get a job in Vermont?

Can I Get Assistance? Or Help?

  • Ok here is my situtation... I am currently 19 years old (Just turned 19 a month ago) and my mom is divorcing my stepdad so this means I had to move out on my own now that im older than 18 years old. I am staying with a buddy right now but can't do it forever. What I am trying to figure out is if there is a company or service that I can get assistance with money and housing. I am having trouble finding work. I was told by a few people they knew that someone like welfare or rehabilitation can help me? I know that even with a job at like the local grocery store in town will not pay enough for even a rundown crappy apartmenmt these days. A half rundown dirty crackhouse apratment is like $850.00 plus in vermont and that dosen't include much. I live in Vermont, so if anyone can find anything or knows any information that can be helpful please let me know. Thanks, Chris [email protected]

  • Answer:

So, are you in school and relocating because in that case you can get loans, scholarships, and grants for college. If not, then I suggest you find roomates and a better job. It is damn near impossible to live on your own nowadays without help because everything is so much more expensive than it was in our parents days. You may be able to get temporary assistance through the department of children's and familes but they really only help families.
