I need to know if this qualifies for dependency with FAFSA.?
-
I have my sister who lives with me at my grandmas. She is Type I diabetic and needs constant care due to circumstances about her health. She has been in diabetic coma, DKA, and near death so she needs me. I use what I can buy working odd jobs and students loans to help take care of her. Doesn't this consider me as a dependent?

Answer:
No, your sister may be your grandmothers dependent, be she certainly isn't yours. You must list your mother and fathers information on your fafsa unless your grandmother has adopted you.

I'm so sorry to hear, you can count her as a dependant. Bless you for taking care of her.
