How can I get the scholarship in japanese universities?

• I want to study in Japan, but my family is not rich. so my parents can't make it possible for me to study in japanese university, which costs 21.000$ per. year, even if it's 9.000$ per.year. so please, tell me how can I get the scholarship? I yearned for studying in Japan since I was 3 years old (!!), and since then I went towards that aim! I can't just give up on my dream! and on the other hand, in my country the education is simply NOTHING! but I WANT TO STUDY, so please, please, please tell me how can I get the scholarship in japanese universities!?

If a school is only $9,000/year then you are not charged $21,000. When applying for your Certificate of Eligibility which will allow for you to receive a Japanese visa it's recommended you can show you can afford $21,000/year, but obviously this is not the case if where you're actually going there will be significantly less costs. There are not that many scholarships available for foreign students. Even if scholarships are offered, it still does not change the fact that in order to apply for the CoE (which you do while applying for the university) you must have proof that you or your family have enough funds for you to go. One of Japan's biggest fears are foreigners entering Japan, finding out they don't have enough money to continue to live comfortably, and so they start working illegally (prostituting or working without a work visa) and living in squalor or on the streets. To prevent this they need to see you have a safety net behind you. There is no way to 100% know you will get a scholarship until you've been given it, and typically you will find out you've been accepted to university a lot sooner than you will hear about a scholarship result. So, unfortunately, if you do not have all the funds available beforehand it is unlikely you will be able to study abroad because when you fill out the CoE application you cannot write, "I hope to win the MEXT scholarship."
