How much financial aid will I get?
-
I know no one can really tell me how much I get until I receive my financial aid package, but I just want some people's opinions on if I'll get a good amount, or little. Because of my family situation, I am an independent student, according to the FAFSA. I'm only 17, and I still live with my legal guardian who I'm dependent on (I don't understand why they said I was independent, just because I'm under legal guardianship of another person as determined by court. I find that confusing. Can someone clear that up for me?) Because I'm an independent student who is 17 and makes zero dollars a year, and doesn't file taxes, will I get a good amount of money in my financial aid package?

Answer:
You just have to wait and see. I thought I would get a decent amount, and I didn't get any at all. I needed it really badly.
