Relocating to Philly for College?

Need advice on relocating to miami for college first year?

  • I live in buffalo ny in a very negative enviroment to say the least and i just need a change and i want to move to miami where i have family i live with my mother and i work part time making 9 dollars an hour i want to be able to focus o nschooll but its hard when your broke with that being said i have no credits and i havent stepped foot in a college but i am ready to change that and i want to move to miam iwhere i have family on my fathers side but at the age of 21 i want to live on my own ihave applied to miami dade college and i have completed my fafsa but i am wating on mky mothers pin to finalize it {1 to 3 days} so basically im sure my efc wil lbe 0 like last year which means i get the full amount but what does that mean? my plan was to save a little thousand dollars and maybe some help fro mfamily quit my job and try an start over in miami i know i have 2 family members who will rather i liek it or not send me money here an there which i am grateful for but i really just want to be own my own my biggest problem is housing{in miami where talking about } and out of state tuition do you think i would get any money back at all would it cover the out of state fees i just need enough for me to get through 1 semester im pretty sure my brother or someone can help me find a job when i get there that would be my first priority but if i cant fidn adequate housing theres no sense in going sorry this question is so long lol but if anyone has any relevant advice i could use it

    You might do better to live here for a year and then start college. Once you are accepted as an out-of-state student, you will always be considered an out-of-state student. The cost of living is really high here in Miami, and jobs are not that easy to come by. Miami is one of the hardest hit cities in the country in foreclosures and the unemployment rate is higher here than the national average. That being said, Miami is an awesome place to be! If you have the right mind set to work hard and set goals to go to school... you never know what good luck will come your way!
