• I want to get degree and then I want to get into a very prestigious culinary arts school and I would like to know how to get a scholarship. How much money can you get from a scholarship? Could I get a scholarship for both? Is their a limit on how many scholarships you can get for a certain school? 10 points for best answer!!!!!!!!!

  Actually, there's no real limit to how much money from scholarships you can apply to your tuition. When I went to college, I actually earned more in scholarships than was necessary to pay my tuition... so I ended up getting extra cash every semester. That being said.... mine were merit based, and I had to actually go looking for them. Your first step should be filling out your FAFSA registration (I believe it's at FAFSA.gov, but you can probably just search for it online). FAFSA allocates money automatically, based on financial information that you submit (more of a need/finance based scholarship). If you qualify, it's an easy way to get cash. Next step... go to your guidance counselor, or search online! There's a lot of people giving away a lot of money out there, and you need to find them, because they probably aren't going to come looking for you. Ask around and see if any of your teachers know of any scholarships. Some of them are so obscure that only a few people ever apply for them each year, which definately raises your odds. Some pay only if you meet certain conditions, belong to certain groups, etc. Information is key. Getting a scholarship for a secondary education school... like culinary arts, etc may be more difficult, becuase, once you have a degree, you're sort of on your own... but that doesn't mean it's not possible. Check with the school itself. They might offer financial aid. Or there's always work study (a fair amount of grad students barely pay any tuition and end up TAing or teaching some remedial class at their school) and, though it isn't at all glamorous, all culinary arts schools need dishwashers.
