Super expensive books - college?

I have to buy books for my math/physics/chemistry classes and they are demanding to have the latest, super expensive editions of each textbook. Does it really make a difference if I purchase an older, cheaper edition? Thanks!!

Yes, there can be big difference between different editions. That's why old editions are selling at a much cheaper price... it sure can make a big difference. a huge. cause if the new text book you get is different from the old one. you may have trouble keeping up on the same page as the teacher. and it can impact your grades. trust me i know im just starting college 2 and my teachers ask for the same thing. if i were you i would go onto chegg.com you can rent books their for a whole semester. its really great. better than buying books.
