Civil Engineering scholarships?

Why don't they give enough scholarships to Engineering Students?

  • I am an engineering junior year student and I have a pretty high GPA(3.90) with a lot of research experience. I applied to several scholarships and I received none of them. My friends did the same thing with GPAs of over 3.5 and they did not received any either. It seems to me like all the scholarships end up going to student athletes, liberal arts, and other majors like physcology and business. I was wondering, are the scholarships rigged like that? I mean it seems impossible for science majors to get any except by fafsa and student loans.

  • Answer:

That really depends on what scholarships you are applying for. Every single school I've looked at for engineering has its own scholarships JUST for engineering students. There are loads of scholarships that are only for STEM students...but just because you applied for scholarships doesn't mean you will get one.
