Will I get into the University of Virginia?

Will donating money to a university i want to get accepted (University of Virginia) actually help me get in?

  • I have heard stories of parents donating a certain amount of money to college's where their kids want to go to and then they end up getting in! Is this true? Do universities even have the time during the admissions process to see which applicants donated money? in my case U.Va...yes i am kind of desperate to get in. ITS MY DREAMS SCHOOL!!! :)

your parents would have to donate an entire WING.

You'd probably have to donate a lot of money for it to make a difference because you're competing against a lot of wealthy alumni parents who want their kids to go to UVA. You're better off getting in the way most UVA students get in -- with top grades, excellent test scores, good recommendations and extracurriculars. Living in Virginia makes it easier, too.
