When do we get our summer EMA bonus?

Why didn't I get full EMA bonus?

  • Ok, so I am in receipt if EMA and have just finshed my AS year of college. Today I went to collect my July bonus as I was curious to see if it had gone in. Sure enough, there was some money in there, excapt it was £100. It was £30. I used to get that once a week when I was still attending but I am on my break now. Can anybody tell me why I didnt receive my full bonus?

    EMA is paid 1 week in areers so the payment you got today is actually for the week ending 30th June (official end of course even though you have been on study leave) EMA will start processing bonus payments after everyone has finished so they may not be received for 3-4 weeks yet. contact your school or college student finance office for more info.

My daughter gets EMA but her summer bonus isn't due yet... But... every school is different. EMA only pay the money, it's up to the person who you hand your form in to at the college that decides the rest. Go see them, explain, it might have been overlooked for some reason.

im pretty sure we dont get a summer bonus? i thought our summer bonus was due when we recieve our results. my school says we cant get a bonus for ema until we have shown we recieve at least four D's in our AS results, which of course we wont know until august, and so therefore we wont recieve a bonus until after then. just like we couldnt recieve the christmas bonus until after christmas, to make sure that we actually went back to school after having full attendance (or whatever limit was set by your school) to recieve the bonus.
