How do you get a college application fee waiver?

How long will it take for Harvard to get my Application Fee Waiver letter?

• I'm applying to Harvard and I wanted to know how long it would take them to receive my fee waiver letter? I sent a letter because I was planning on using the collegeboard fee waiver things for UCs, and since I Harvard said they would just accept a letter from my counselor requesting the application fee to be waived I thought I'd be better off using those collegeboard fee waivers for UCs. Anyway I sent my letter about a week or two ago and my fee hasn't shown up as being waived or paid for on the common app. So how long will it take for the letter to be processed or however it works? Because the deadline is getting closer and I don't think I can submit my app without the fee being paid for.

  Most schools are on break right now. It should show up next week. Just go ahead and send your app without a fee.
