Is there any other financial aid rather than FAFSA?

How does getting a job affect the FAFSA & financial aid process? Does it lower my chances of receiving aid?

• I need to get a job, and I am thinking of doing so due to my family's financial situation at the moment. If I get a job (even a part-time job), will this affect me in a negative way when I apply for FAFSA aid? Will I get less financial aid when applying for it from the universities I am choosing to attend? (I yearn to attend an Ivy League university, specifically Harvard, and will apply to study there). Will my financial aid package be less than others because I have worked, and have therefore "outside assistance" that can be used to pay off the tuition? Will I be awarded scholarships, regardless of me having a job? Please help. Thank you for your answers.

  I think Harvard is one of the schools that says if your family is poor, they will fund all of your education. The kicker here is getting in... When fafsa calculated your efc, they do look at your income and your parents income, however, most full time high school students really don't earn enough to make much of paycheck so it prob wont make too much of a difference. Just be sure you save at least HALF of everything you earn so you have that money in the bank when you go off to college and are not penniless once you get there. Good luck.
