Which course is better dentistry or nursing?

Student Finance for an Adult Nursing course help?

  • Can someone tell me if I am eligable for a tutition loan whilst studying adult nursing at university? Obviously the course is NHS funded so there are no fees but im unsure as to whether I can get a tuition fee loan? I have gone onto the directgiv website and it says this for the adult nursing course: Tuition Fee Loan - Paid directly to your college/university. Does this mean that the Uni gets it and then I get it or what?? I know I am eligable for a bursary, maintenance loan and long courses loan. Am I eligable for the tuition fee loan?

  • Answer:

You are not eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan because as you say the Fees are funded/paid by the NHS. The NHS will pay the fees to the University (you do not get them before or after). You do not need a Tuition Fee Loan. Hope that helps.
