Does Harvard give full scholarships?

Does Yale, Harvard, or Princeton give scholarships for people that don't have financial need?

  • On collegeboard it's "not reported" so I'm not sure. This includes academic and athletic scholarships.

  • Answer:

No, assuming you're talking about undergraduates. Yale: "There are no athletic or merit based awards." Harvard: "All of our financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need – there are no academic, athletic or merit-based awards...." Princeton: "Princeton financial aid is awarded solely based on need; there are no merit scholarships" The Ivy League in general: "All the Ivy institutions follow the common policy that any financial aid for student-athletes will be awarded and renewed on the sole basis of economic need...." Student who attend those colleges might, of course, get merit-based scholarships from some other source.

Yes in short it is possible but much less likely. These schools can afford to be picky but are generous as well. If you are great at a particular sport or have somthing the school desires it is possible.
